UPDATE, 9;58 a.m.: Police say the victim in the fatal shooting was a 19-year-old West Philadelphia man. He is not being identified at this time pending notification of family members.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his face and torso, according to a police spokeswoman. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:54 a.m.

Police found the victim on the unit block of South Robinson Street after responding there for a report of gunfire at 1:41 a.m.

A man was shot and killed in West Philadelphia early this morning.
The unidentified man was shot at close range about 1:45 a.m. on South Robinson Street, 6ABC Action News reports.
The victim, who was shot several times, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A red car was scene leaving the area just after the fatal shooting, according to the Action News report.
