Man shot and killed inside Bronx apartment: police

A Bronx man was shot and killed inside his Bronx apartment Thursday afternoon, police said.

JercarBrooks, 36, was found with two gunshot wounds to his torso inside the Wakefield apartment on East 233rd Street around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said surveillance footage shows Brooks meeting with two men in a Chevy Camaro outside his building around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The passenger in the Camaro got out of the car and walked into the building with Brooks. The pair came back outside before the passenger and Brooks returned into the building, police said.

Several minutes later, the passenger runs out of the apartment building without Brooks carrying a large box or package under his arm.

Police said he got into the Camaro and fled the scene.

The passenger and suspect is described as black and between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-4. He was last seen wearing a fitted, grey Yankee hat and a grey and red North Face jacket.
