A 25-year-old man was shot dead yesterday inside a stairwell at a Brooklyn housing project where he lived, police said.
Shawn White was found on the fourth floor stairwell at 2925 W. 27th Street in Coney Island at about 9:30 p.m., police said. He had gunshot wounds to the head, torso and leg. EMS workers pronounced him dead at the scene.
The shooting comes just two days after a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed at another Coney Island building just a few blocks away. Yaquin English was shot numerous times in front of 3144 Bayview Ave. on Christmas Eve, police said.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
