Authorities are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who used a lottery scheme to steal from dozens of people at North and South stations.
The unidentified man tells victims that he won $1,000 on a lottery ticket, but has to catch a train and doesn’t have time to cash it, according to MBTA police. The man tells the victims he will take $200 in exchange for the ticket. So far 30 people have reported to the state’s lottery headquarters with the phony tickets.
