Man sought in MBTA robbery

Revere Police are looking for a man involved in a violent robbery after he and another man exited a MBTA bus.

Revere Police are looking for a man involved in a violent robbery after he and another man exited a MBTA bus.

The suspect and victim got off a T bus on Revere and Thorndike streets April 25 just before 2 a.m. The suspect asked the other man for a light, but his intentions were not sincere.

The man was jumped by a group of men who punched and kicked him in his head and body, according to police.

One of them then took out a knife and threw the victim to the ground, police said.

He pressed the knife against the man’s throat and said, “If you don't give me money I am going to kill you,” according to a police report.

The man was robbed of $368 in cash and a pair of checks.

Police released surveillance images of the man they believed used the knife in the robbery as he exited the T bus.

Anyone with information can call police at 781-656-1114.
