A man was killed Friday when he was struck by an inbound Fitchburg Line train passing through Acton.
According to transit police, the victim, who was not identified but was described as a white male in his mid-to-early twenties, was pronounced dead around 4 p.m.
Acton Police and Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
The facts and circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation by Transit Police detectives. There is currently no word on why the man was crossing the tracks.
