Police are looking for a man in a string of robberies in a South Philadelphia parking garage that have escalated in violence.

In the most recent incident last Thursday, the victim parked on the second floor of the Marine Club Condominiums at 1100 South Broad Street shortly before 7 p.m. As she tried to get out of her car, a man approached, pushed her back into the vehicle and took $100, fleeing on foot from the garage.

A man fitting the same description also struck on Dec. 11 and Sept. 26. In December, the victim was robbed of $60 and a laptop at knifepoint. In September, the victim was able to fight off the man as he attempted to force her into her car and he fled with no proceeds.

The suspect is described as a 40-to-50-year-old black man with a dark complexion wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and gloves. He was clean-shaven in September, but had a salt and pepper beard during the most recent incident.

Police ask anyone with information to call 911 or 215-686-TIPS (8477), or to contact the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013 or 3014.
