Two men — one wearing a gold mask and the other wearing a white mask — entered the IHOP at the 3400 block of Aramingo Avenue about 7:30 a.m. and walked to the back of the restaurant. One of the men then pointed a gun in the face of an employee and manager and forced them into a side office, police said.
Investigators said the manger was told to open the safe and stuff the contents, about $500, into a plastic bag.
No one was injured, police said.
The first suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black man with a thin build, while the second is described as a 5-foot-10-inch-tall white man with a stocky build.
