The state’s unemployment rate fell to 7 percent last month, according to data released on Thursday by the state Office of Labor and Workforce Development.
December’s rate was down from 7.1 percent in November; however, the rate is up from December 2012’s rate of 6.7 percent. The number is also above the national rate for December, which was 6.7 percent.
According to the state, 10,300 jobs were added last month.
