Mayor-elect Marty Walsh and Gov. Deval Patrick have scheduled a meeting together just weeks before Walsh takes over as mayor of Boston.
Walsh and Patrick will meet at the State House at noon on Monday and will speak to reporters after the closed meeting, according to Patrick's schedule.
Walsh, a state representative from Dorchester, won the mayoral election last month. He will succeed Mayor Thomas Menino on Jan. 6.
Patrick, who has said he will not seek a third term, will be governor for his final year when Walsh begins serving his first year as mayor.
Walsh has said he will resign his state representative seat when he is closer to being sworn in as mayor.
