In an effort to keep riders abreast of how they are keeping the transit system safe, MBTA transit police often post updates on Twitter, and this situation was no different.

T police had their eye out for the suspect after the Billerica Police Department released a "Wanted" poster that said he may be headed to South Station, according to MBA Superintendent-in-Chief Joseph O'Connor.
MBTA Officer David Jamie was on patrol at the South Station bus terminal when he spotted Walsh, and confirmed that there was a warrant out for his arrest.
"It’s another example of the excellent work that is done on a day to day basis by transit police on the MBTA," O'Connor said.
