MBTA police seek Red Line mastubator
MBTA transit police are calling on the public's help to track down a man who allegedly exposed his penis to a woman and masturbated on the Red Line in July.
A man who police say exposed his genitals to a female victim, then masturbated on a Red Line train is on the loose, and transit officials want the public's help in tracking him down.
The alleged incident happened at 11 a.m. on July 20 on a northbound Red Line train between Park Street and Massachusetts General Hospital stations, according to police.
The victim exited the train at Harvard Station.
Police described the assailant as a white male, slim, and between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6, with gray hair and a mustache.
Transit police have said that sexual misconduct and assault is vastly under reported in the transit system, and have encouraged riders to fill them in on any sort of inappropriate behavior.
Transit police took to its blog to post information on the incident, along with a photo of the suspect, apparently asleep on a train, and asked anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050 or the Intelligence Unit at 617-222-1170.
"If you wish to do so anonymously please use our SeeSay app which has an anonymous feature or simply text your tip to 873873," a spokesperson stated on the blog.
