Mayor Thomas Menino has at least found the humor in his latest Boston sports figure name screw up.
Menino apologized this morning on his Twitter page for messing up the names of Celtics stars Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett during a television interview yesterday and seen on Comcast SportsNet New England.
“You know it’s championship season when I flub our athletes’ names! Sorry KG & Rondo, it’s kind of my thing- another Menino-ism! #GoCeltics,” Menino posted this morning.
Twitter users have not been kind to Menino who has previously mistaken Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek for former Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri.
