Investigators said two men – both wearing dark-colored pants and one armed with a handgun – forced their way into the residence shortly after 6:30 a.m.
Once inside, they allegedly entered a bedroom where a woman, 38, and her daughter were sleeping.

The suspects then left the home empty-handed, fleeing in an unknown direction.
The 12-year-old was able to call 911 and give an operator information about the crime.
Paramedics rushed her mother to a local hospital, where she remained for treatment Tuesday.
Detectives determined through a preliminary investigation that the act was not random, and the victims may have been targeted in the home invasion, according to authorities.
