On April 1 the food trucks will officially roll out, and in addition to the returning sites at City Hall Plaza, Boston Public Library and Clarendon Street, some new sites and vendors are on the list.
Mayor Thomas Menino announced the relaunch of the program on Tuesday, March 20, adding his excitement for both new and returning food vendors.
“My administration has worked extensively across City departments and with food truck operators and residents to create a program that continues to give opportunities to small businesses, enliven public spaces, and promote access to fun, interesting, fresh food across the city,” said Menino.
Here is where you can grab some grub from mobile vendors when you’re walking around the city:
*Copley Square at Stuart & Trinity Place – while this site existed last year, we’ve created the City’s first 3-truck cluster site on city streets by adding 2 additional truck-vending sites here.
*China Trade Building at Boylston Street – next to the outdoor plaza in front of the China Trade building and across from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
*Financial District – the City’s 3rd food truck cluster site, is located on the corner of Milk & Kilby. This site can accommodate 2 food trucks.
*South End at Tremont Street and Berkeley Streets adjacent to the Benjamin Franklin Institute.
