It will soon be more expensive to drive into Manhattan. The MTA board is expected to approve a toll hike on its bridges and tunnels today that will go into effect on Dec. 30. E-ZPass users will pay $4.80, a 5 percent increase, on the Verrazano, Throgs Neck, Triborough and Whitestone bridges and the Battery and Midtown tunnels. Paying by cash will cost up to $6.50 on most major crossings.
