Muni-Meter price increase

City workers visited parking meters yesterday to reprogram higher costs. Muni-Meters south of 86th Street in Manhattan will now require $3 per hour instead of $2.50. Where meters throughout the city cost 25 cents, the allotted time will be 15 minutes instead of 20. The hike will collect more revenue for the city — last year the meters provided $138.9 million in revenue.
