MILTON – Milton police asked for the public's help yesterday in helping to identify a mutilated body found dumped on a quiet street.

Police Chief Richard Wells Jr. said authorities hoped to identify the victim through fingerprints, but he didn't have a record. The victim was also missing teeth and didn't have tattoos, he said.

“His body was found in a very gruesome, significant, homicide scene,” Wells said, according to the Globe. “The mutilation was so gruesome and extensive it didn't seem real.”

A passerby made the discovery on Brierbrook Street Monday night, startling neighbors.
