Myra Kraft, the wife of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, died early this morning.
Kraft, 68, died after a battle with cancer.
“Words cannot express the deep sorrow that we feel in learning of the passing of Myra Hiatt Kraft,” the Patriots said in a statement. “We are all heartbroken. The global philanthropic community and the New England Patriots family have suffered a great loss.”
Kraft was a member of many charity organizations including chair of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.
She was a fixture by her husband’s side whenever broadcasts of Patriot’s games showed the owner’s box.
