Nassau County opens snow hot line

Due to several inches of snow predicted for Long Island this weekend, Nassau County officials will activate the non-emergency hot line at 8 a.m. Friday.

Due to several inches of snow predicted for Long Island this weekend, Nassau County officials will activate the non-emergency hot line at 8 a.m. Friday. County Executive Edward Mangano said calls about downed trees or plowing should be directed to 888-684-4274, freeing up 911 for emergency calls.

Residents in need of shelter should call 866-WARM-BED.
