Michael Stinnett, 27, was walking near his apartment at Beacon Street and Park Drive in Boston after getting out of a cab in the Audubon Circle area.
“I was crossing the street and there’s clearly signs posted: pedestrian walkway. A car just sped right by me, not caring that I was walking in the middle of the street," Stinnett told the Boston Herald. "I kind of stopped and yelled at them, not thinking they’d hear me. I said, ‘What the hell, slow down,’ or something like that, I don’t really remember. I wasn’t screaming it."
After driving away, the car made a U-Turn and returned, at which point three men got out and started beating Stinnett. He suffered minor bleeding in his brain, and several cuts and bruises on his head that required stitches, he told the Herald.
The Boston Police Department is looking for three black men operating a dark motor vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call District D-4 (South End) detectives at 617-343-4683.
