Nearly ten percent of sexually active New York City high school students have had at least one same-sex partner.

According to new data from the New York City Department of Health, 9.3% of teens reported a same-sex partner.

Among sexually active teens, 90.9% identified as heterosexual, 1.1% as
gay/lesbian, 5.4% identified as bisexual and 2.6% stated they were unsure of
their sexual identity.

The findings come from a study published Monday in the journal Pediatrics.
