New sexting claims in Greg Kelly rape accusation

Police sources now say the woman accusing “Good Day New York” host Greg Kelly of rape exchanged as many as 17 flirty text messages with Kelly before and even after the alleged attack.

The woman, a 30-year-old paralegal, met Kelly, the son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, on the street in October. The two exchanged steamy text messages for two days before meeting for drinks on Oct. 8 at Jeremy’s Ale House, a bar at the South Street Seaport, according to The New York Post.

“The texts were explicit,” the source told the Post. “They were sexual.”

After the two left the bar, they went to her nearby law office. That’s where the woman said Kelly raped and impregnated her while she was intoxicated. She was too drunk to resist his advances, the woman told police.

But sources told the Post the woman kept in touch with the police commissioner’s son after the encounter and the two exchanged texts about “doing it again.”

An investigator told The Daily News that the text messages could prove key in whether or not Kelly is charged in the case.

The woman is the daughter of a prominent New York City lawyer and has a brother who is a crime scene investigator with the NYPD. A source described her brother to the Post as a “hard-nosed hard worker.”

Kelly, speaking through his attorney, continues to deny the rape allegations.
