New, unreleased video shows NYPD view of 9/11

The NYPD just released this haunting footage of the 9/11 attack and the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.

An NYPD helicopter, hovering a mere 300 feet above the World Trade Center, caught the buildings on fire just before their collapse.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology had to submit a Freedom of Information Act request to get the NYPD to release the footage, but until now the images have not been made public.
