A pediatrician was struck and killed by a car Monday night while crossing the street from the Queens hospital where he worked.

Police said Dr. Siu Lee, 55, left New York Hospital Queens in Flushing and began walking across Booth Memorial Avenue about 6:15 p.m. when a Mercedes-Benz traveling west hit him.

Emergency personnel took Lee back to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the 23-year-old driver remained at the scene and no criminality is suspected at this time.

Lee, a resident of Woodbury, N.Y., crossed the street against the pedestrian walk signal, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
