A New York Post spokesperson strongly denied a report in the Observer today, linking a top-ranking Post editor to “Millionaire Madam” Anna Gristina, telling Metro the story is "outrageous."
A story in the Observer alleged that New York Post editor Col Allan was mentioned in audio transcripts while investigators were maintaining surveillance on Anna Gristina, the alleged mom and madam accused of running a prostitution ring out of an Upper East Side apartment.
The Observer reported, citing multiple anonymous sources, that Gristina mentioned Allan's name during taped conversations. She allegedly called him a "very, very good friend" and said she had given tips to the newspaper.
"This story is outrageous," Allan said in a statement. "I have never met Anna Gristina, I have no relationship with her and I have no relationship with her business. Had the reporter from the NY Observer spoken to me, I would have told him as much."
The Observer reported reaching out to Allan previously for comment.
