NYC to get second-rate backup space shuttle Enterprise

NASA has decided New York City will get the Space Shuttle Enterprise when the fleet is retired this summer, sources told FOX 5 this morning.

The space shuttle will be docked at the Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum. Over twenty other cities across the country put in bids for the shuttle, but New York was chosen, according to FOX 5.

The Enterprise was the first shuttle built by NASA. It has never been to space.

NASA is expected to publicly announce the winning cities today, according to reports.
