The NYPD recently launched a Twitter handle dedicated to the L train and its riders.
According to @NYPDLtrain, officers went underground Thursday morning to hand out flyers on the account during rush hour. The handle is “dedicated to keeping #L train riders informed on relevant police issues,” according to the NYPD.
The account, which had 121 tweets by Thursday evening, launched on Sept. 10, according to a tweet posted by Zach Tumin, Deputy Commissioner of Strategic Initiativesfor the NYPD.
