NYPD looking for man who slashed woman’s neck in Queens

Police are looking for a man they say slashed a woman’s neck on Wednesday morning inside a Jamaica apartment building.

The incident occurred around 5:17 a.m. at 90-23 171 St. The suspect tried to “engage” a 26-year-old woman in “unwanted conversation,” police said. When the woman turned away from the suspect, he grabbed her and slashed her neck.

The woman was taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is described a a black or Hispanic male, about 20 years old with brown eyes and short black hair. He is about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing black sneakers and blue jeans.
