A 21-year-old died after a shooting at the Rangel Houses in East Harlem early Monday, police said.

Officers found the man, who was not yet otherwise identified, with multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and torso around 6 a.m. in the rear of 159-14 Harlem River Drive, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and as of Monday afternoon there were no suspects. It’s still unclear what led up to the shooting.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Last week, the Mayor Bill de Blasio detailed new initiatives to curb violence in the city’s housing projects, including more patrol cops, lighting and community engagement.

Those crime-reduction efforts are focused on 15 developments that account for nearly 20 percent of all violent crime in public housing. The Rangel Houses, located in Police Service Ares 6, isn’t one of them.
