A 2-year-old girl in a stroller rolled onto subway tracks in Queens on Monday morning, police said.
The girl, strapped into the stroller when she fell around 11:15 a.m., was rescued by her mom, who jumped onto the Jamaica Center station tracks to retrieve her, the NYPD said.
The 39-year-old woman walked away from the stroller to throw something away when the carriage rolled onto the station's southbound E train tracks, police said.
The mother jumped down to get her daughter and two MTA maintenance workers at the station helped them back onto the platform before a train could arrive, the NYPD said.
Both were taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
