President Barack Obama tweeted this photo last night of a fundraising dinner he attended at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club.
“A couple supporters in a New York state of mind last night,” Obama tweeted, referring to his meeting with Jay-Z and Beyonce, who hosted the dinner.
Obama said Jay-Z and Beyonce “remember what it’s like not having anything, and we know people who were just as talented as us that didn’t get the same break, the same chance,” according to the Daily News.
“We understand that … those of us who have been blessed with success and been able to walk through those doors of opportunity, we don’t slam the door behind us. We prop it open,” POTUS said.
