Those who work on Wall Street are ostensibly the subject of fury from the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
Except many say they are confused as to what exactly it is the protesters want.
“I think they should focus their efforts on something that is more worth their time and stop disrupting our workday,” said investment banker Dave S., who did not want his last name published.
Another Wall Streeter told Metro he sympathizes with some of the protesters’ messages, but thinks their perception might be off.
“I think there is some legitimacy; they are against the way things are set up and the current practices,”
said Courtland Hankins, who works at a major financial house. “But I’m a worker just like the majority of these protesters are. Just because I work for the company doesn’t necessarily mean I’m in a different position than they are.”
