Occupy Wall Street: Foursquare hot spot

The growth of Occupy Wall Street has been largely fueled by social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.

In fact, Foursquare offers perspective into just how much the movement has grown. The Washington Post incorporated Foursquare numbers to come up with this interactive map showing movements that have popped up all over the country.

Occupy Wall Street in NYC has, by far, the most check-ins with nearly 4,500. Occupy Boston and Occupy Philly are the second and third largest, with just under 600 check-ins each.

Other smaller protests across the country include Occupy DC, Occupy LA, Occupy Chicago, Occupy Austin, Occupy Denver and Occupy Seattle.
