Oil spills into Staten Island waterway

Add an oil spill to the list of things troubling the New York City area after Hurricane Sandy.

More than 300,000 gallons of fuel are spilling into the Arthur Kill waterway near Staten Island after a storage tank was damaged during the hurricane.

According to the Associated Press, the 336,6000 gallons are contained by booms in the water.

The spill reportedlyhappened during the worst of the storm Monday night, and officials are supervising efforts to clean it up.
