Three people were gunned down during separate shootings on Boston streets just hours apart overnight Sunday into Monday.

Boston police are investigating the fatal shootings that left two men and a woman dead.

The most recent shooting took place at about 2:45 a.m. Monday at 92 Rosewood St. Officers were called to the address for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, officers found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds and in life-threatening condition.

The man and woman, who police said were in their 20s, were taken to separate hospitals where they later died.

Less than five hours earlier, police were called a Tedeschi convenience store on Dorchester Avenue in Peabody Square. There they found a man in his 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In both cases, police did not identify the victims.

The deaths bring the city’s count of killings so far this year to nine. In 2013, there had been two murders through Jan. 19, according to police data.

Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information can call 617-343-4470.
