Paterson smacked with fine

Gov. David Paterson was slapped with a $62,125 fine yesterday — more than 146 times the price of each $425 ticket he accepted for free at a Yankees World Series game last year.

Those Yankees tickets just got way more expensive. Gov. David Paterson was slapped with a $62,125 fine yesterday — more than 146 times the price of each $425 ticket he accepted for free at a Yankees World Series game last year.

The fine comes in the governor’s last two weeks as he tries to refine his image.

“This reminds people of the less savory aspects of his administration,” said Gerald Benjamin, political science professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
