Pedestrian struck by Boston Duck Boat

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after being struck by a Boston Duck Tours vehicle at Bowdoin and Cambridge streets this afternoon.

Boston Police would not confirm whether the vehicle in question was a Boston Duck Tours boat, and would also not confirm the gender of the victim, however Cindy Brown, general manager of the tour company, told the Boston Globe the duck boat was
turning left at 2 or 3 miles per hour onto Cambridge Street during a
green light when it struck the pedestrian, who was believed to be
jaywalking.

Police responded to the scene around 1:50 p.m., and Boston EMS arrived shortly after to take the pedestrian to Massachusetts General Hospital, police said.

Brown told the Globe she was “relieved” that the victim’s injuries were minor.
