A 55-year-old pedestrian died Monday night after he was hit by a car in Port Richmond, police said.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was hit at Aramingo Avenue and Tioga Street about 6:30 p.m., police spokeswoman Christine O'Brien said.

The 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling northbound on Aramingo when the pedestrian walked into the car's lane and was struck, O'Brien said.
The victim was transported at Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:47 p.m.
