Pedestrians struck by vehicle in Delaware

Two pedestrians were seriously injured when they were struck by a vehicle in New Castle County, Del., Wednesday night.

The accident occurred on U.S. Route 13 in Wilmington Manor about 10:10 p.m., DelawareOnline.com reports.

A man and a woman sustained critical head and internal injuries in the crash, according to reports, when they were struck by a white Nissan SUV traveling north on DuPont Highway. They were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the accident scene.
