One Commonwealth extended its sympathy to another in mourning.
Pennsylvania lowered all of its state flags to half-staff in mourning for the victims of the Boston Marathon explosion. President Barrack Obama ordered all U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff on federal buildings, and Tuesday all Pennsylvania flags followed suit.
“On behalf of all the people of Pennsylvania, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Boston and all the victims of this horrific act of violence,’’ Gov. Tom Corbett said in a statement.
"The flags will remain at half-staff through sunset on Saturday," according to a news release.
