A Community College of Philadelphia student pulled out a gun during a Chemistry class on the Center City campus Wednesday and pointed it at a fellow student, reports say.
NBC10 is reporting that the gunmen, a 24-year-old man from Northeast Philadelphia, barged into the class, which was held in the West Building, accused another student of reporting him to security, and then whipped out the gun.
No shots were fired, the outlet reported.
The argument could have been over a girlfriend, the outlet reported.
Police officials posted to Twitter that the the building was evacuated around 12:30 p.m. as a precaution. Students and teachers in other sections of the school were told to take shelter, the outlet reported.
No injuries were reported.
The gunmen is expected to turn himself into police this afternoon, NBC10 reported.
The college is currently in its first Summer Session of courses.
