Philadelphia fourth most popular housing market in U.S.

Philadelphia is the country’s fourth most popular housing market, or at least the fourth most searched last month on popular website Realtor.com, the site revealed.

Out of 146 metro areas, Philadelphia, with 21,693 listings, was up from the seventh most searched market the month before. The region was beat out only by Los Angeles, Detroit and Chicago, which took the top spot.

With a median list price of $221,995, Philadelphia was also the second most expensive market in the site’s top 10. Los Angeles demands higher prices, with a median of $320,444.
