Phillies President David Montgomery is recovering Tuesday after cancer was removed from his jaw on Monday.
The Daily News reported Tuesday that Montgomery, 67, had bone removed from his right jaw and replaced with bone from one of his legs.
The Roxborough nativeis expected to remain in the hospital for another week, and eventually make a full recovery.
Montgomery has worked for the team for more than 40 years. He currently serves as general partner, president and chief executive officer.
