Police have released surveillance footage of a brazen robbery at an Overbrook pizzeria that occurred last week.

About 5:42 p.m. on Jan. 18, two men entered a branch of Papa John's pizza in Overbrook through the back door, passing the supply area and kitchen before drawing weapons on the cashier at the front of the store.

The cashier stepped aside and two pizza chefs were motionless as the two suspects, one with a knife and one with a handgun, emptied the cash register.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the business, located at 7586 Haverford Ave.

The suspects fled on foot on Overbrook Avenue toward 76th Street, police say.

The first suspect, who had a knife, is described as a black male, about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a heavy build, light complexion and mustache.

The second suspect, who had a handgun, is described as a black male, about 30, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, dark complexion, full beard, and may have a teardrop tattoo under his right eye.
