A little raccoon needed a little help Monday when it became stuck in a storm drain in Waltham.

Waltham police said authorities were called to Chestnut and Lowell streets Monday where the raccoon was found lodged in a storm drain, its head sticking through the top of an opening.

Police said the juvenile raccoon was rescued by animal control, police officers and firefighters.

A day after being rescued, the raccoon was doing well, police said.
