Fire Capt. Michael R. Goodwin and police officers Brian Lorenzo and Moses Walker Jr. were added to the roster of fallen emergency workers today at the annual Living Flame Memorial Service at Franklin Square Park.
The Living Flame Memorial Service is designed to acknowledge the sacrifices of Philadelphia police officers and firefighters who died in the line of duty, according to a release.

Goodwin, Lorenzo and Walker died within the last 12 months.
Goodwin died while fighting a fire in in Queen Village. Lorenzo died in a crash with an alleged drunk driver on I-95, near the Cottman Avenue exit in Northeast Philadelphia last July while heading home on his highway patrol motorcycle. Walker died from gunfire during an attempted robbery by two men at North 20th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia, while walking to the bus stop after finishing his overnight shift last August.
