PHOTOS: Philadelphia Eagles open cheerleader photo shoot in Margate (Updated with story)

They did it In front of an elephant, on top of a picnic table and on a Jersey shore pier.

A select number of Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders modeled for the first photo shoot for the squad’s 2014 swimsuit calendar.

The cheerleaders posed in two New Jersey locations: at the Lucy the Elephant landmark in Margate and at Congress Hall in Cape May.

They will all model in NJ shore towns in support of revitalization efforts after the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy last year.

“We think fans will really enjoy seeing Eagles cheerleaders alongside some of their favorite vacation spots,” said Barbara Zaun, Eagles cheerleading director, in a statement.

Local contractors migrated over from other projects to watch and snap photos with their smartphones.

“They’re the best,” said one construction worker, giving the thumbs up.

Cheerleader Chelsey, of Lakewood, NJ, wore a robe more so than her bikini on a blustery May day.

“I don’t normally travel this far south, only because I am from more central Jersey,” she said.

She usually goes to Belmar, LBI or Island State Park for vacation.

But she must love Margate now, right?

“Definitely,” she said.
