Police: Alleged shooter in custody after West Philadelphia homicide
Police said an off-duty Chester City officer arrested the man who allegedly shot and killed 20-year-old Victor Rodriguez early this morning.
Police have arrested a homicide suspect in a shooting that happened in West Philadelphia early this morning.
Police said 20-year-old Victor Rodriguez, of the 900 block of East Schiller Street in Harrowgate, was shot once in the head following an argument with another man on the 300 block of South 52nd Street near Spruce Street and died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania shortly before 3 a.m.
The alleged shooter was taken into custody by an off-duty Chester City police officer, according to authorities. His identity has not yet been released pending formal charges.
