Cops picked up two men in connection to the beating death of a Queens man in early July blocks away from an Ozone Park strip club.
Police found the body of 55-year-old Nazmul Islam of Richmond Hill on July 9 after receiving a call about an unconscious person on the sidewalk.
At the time, police said there were no obvious signs of trauma to Islam’s body. However, paramedics declared Islam dead at the scene, two blocks away from where investigators now say he got into a verbal spat with the two men suspected of beating and taking Islam’s cash.
According to police, investigators said Carlos Genno, 22, and Nestor Rodriguez, 20, jumped Islam shortly after the victim allegedly accused the them of taking his car keys.
Both Genno and Rodriguez currently face murder and robbery charges.
